SOLD
Paddling
13 cm x 13 cm. 5 in x 5in.

Catching The Wave

SOLD
Catching The Wave
13 cm x 13 cm. 5 in x 5in.
Watercolour
“ The title is for me as much as for the boys in the water, it was a real challenge to catch the wave. Water is both solid and transparent; the sea especially is so powerful in its presence and yet so fleeting at the same time. And there are so many colours there, an exercise in concentration!”
This little gem is available as a limited edition print, limited to only 25 editions (23 left), printed on very nice inkjet watercolour paper which will stay great for ages.

“This is such a difficult thing to capture. Early in the morning, the sun just risen and catching the dew on all of the new spiders webs. It is the end of summer and already there is an abundance of seedpods and dry twisted leaves. The delicacy and fragility of this moment are what I am trying to catch.”

Fruit Stall

Fruit Stall
19 cm x 24 cm. 8 in x 10in.
Oil

“I got up very early this morning to finish this painting. While at the market I was stopped in my tracks by the colours on this stall, I am not sure that I have got quite enough reds in here. There were peaches, plums, strawberries, redcurrants, raspberries, the canopy was red and the woman shopping was wearing red. I do enjoy red as a colour, bet you never guessed that!”

Shopping

Shopping
16 cm x 24 cm. 6 in x 10in.
Oil

“ In the car park at the shopping centre near Lanester. Although it is not the most beautiful place in the world, there can be a lot of beauty in the ordinary places. A Bit Of A Glitch

To everybody who has signed up for the free painting a day by e-mail... I am sorry but there has been a temporary hold up with the nerve center, my chief administrator has messed up with the main computer. (Its so difficult to get the staff these days!) Hopefully all will be restored on Thursday. In the meantime I shall carry on painting and posting them here. If by some queer turn of events you have not received an email by Friday, please please sign up again. I do really appreciate your support and also people who take the time to leave comments...Thank you very much.

Cows in a Field

Cows in a Field

18 cm x 13 cm. 7 in x 5 in.
Watercolour

“ Cows always gather and watch, I am behind the fence as I think, sometimes, cows en masse are a little intimidating! They stand in the hot sun while I sit in the cool puddles of shade. I love the contrast of dark to light.”
