Out and about early this morning I snatched a moment to doodle the morning garden just as it emerged from the shadows with the first rays of the day catching the tops of the lavenders. Tall verbena flowers nod on delicate stalks like wandering sprits in the gloom. The air is already warm and scented with the heady notes of sweet peas and honeysuckle.
