West Door

West Door (buildings 7)
The west door of Hennbont church is a beautiful construction of impossible stonework. Worn over time by weather and history the incredible artistry of ancient stonemasons watches over the town. Sitting on narrow stone benches I look up, as I would deep in the forest at the arching trees, and wonder at the vision and confidence of the people who long ago decided that something this ambitious was plausible to build.

25.5cm x 20.5cm. 10in x 8in.
Watercolour. Painting 019
This painting is for sale, matted and costing:
85 pounds (UK) 170 dollars (USA) and 126 euros (Europe). This includes the postage.

I have shown the whole page here (30 x 40 cm or 12 x 16 in) as I quite like the loose edges.I am also beginning a new portrait and will be “blogging” its progress over on Muddy Red Shoes.

You're great Sarah,
and not only as an artist, to see watch and paint/draw this scene, is just belly glowing.
