Grey with Red Beads

Grey with Red Beads
24cm x 19cm 9.5in x 7.5in
Watercolour.

My blogging friend Paris Breakfasts made me think about grey yesterday, so I tried a painting in greys, it is an interesting colour full of nuances and subtleness and with a tiny splash of red, lovely. I thought you might like to see the mess on the paper around the painting as well, so here it is uncropped, see the difference cropping makes.

Gorgeous. And an equally gorgeous mess. Those must be blow dry trails. Of course, I'd be interested to know what colors you used to mix those greys. yr new fan.

I love the one with all the splashes round the edges! I must say though, that I get pleasure from cropping my own pictures, it's like I've hidden all the 'secrets'!
