Ebb and Flow

Ebb and Flow
Oil on Canvas board.
10 x 8 in or 25.4 x 20.3 cm.

It is the quiet time between the tides.  The river meanders her way towards the ocean like a ribbon of mirror.  The mud flats of the estuary offer up treasure, the smells of the sea, iodine and seaweed and soft reflections of the trees as if in dull pewter.

This is for sale for £100 or $200, post and packaging included.  Please email me if you are interested.

Hi Sarah, these are lovely.

By chance I had just been looking at Kurt Jackson's paintings as I'd wanted to re-view a beetroot painting that
Katherine
put up a while back (London Art Fair?), and found by accident his two rivers project. I don't know if you've seen it but you can download a pdf of it from Messums:
download link.

Hope you're enjoying your 'new' home and you don't miss France to much, at least you still have the sea!

Oh - I come along to say how lovely this look and Julian beat me to it and mentions me!

I'm loving this mauvey colour you've got going in this and the last painting - what are you using?

utterly beautiful and totally catching the atmosphere and colour and light of those estuaries :>)

KJ also has a book on the Cornish estuaries

You are near enough to see his work often at the Lemon Street Gallery in Truro - lucky you < sigh >
