Oil on wooden panel
Another tiny study. I love looking through trees to water beyond. The tree becomes a silhouette and breaks the subject beyond into abstract shapes, which, I think, helps with seeing colours and tones and the way the light sparkles.
Again, here it is small, they work well that way.

this catches the dazzle of water through the trees so well, everything fragmenting into light and colour - the creeks like this around King Harrys Ferry were one of my favourite places as a child, especially at bluebell time.
This is just beautiful. In our area, the riverside is very much like this too with lots of overhanging branches. You have really captured it here.
I just love the way you capture light in your paintings.
My first visit. Wow. The beauty of your water jumped out and pinched my nose.
The earlier crow gave me a start - great stuff.
