Western Light

Western Light
Watercolour
7 cm x 10 cm or 3 inches x 4 inches

A tiny one now, nothing much just a glorious blue sky, beautiful sea, the sun is in the west and there is a hint of warmer days to come... aah, dreams of a good summer!

I'm with you, dreaming of summer, Sarah. This is a lovely, peaceful painting.

This is amazing. Have been doing watercolour for 8 or 9 months or so. First time I've picked up a brush since high school art. (Indeed I am still using some of the tubes of paint from 20 yrs ago labelled with "9S" - my yr 9 class name!) Mostly I do beach scenes as I live on the coast and spend a lot of time there. This both inspires me and makes me feel like giving up! It's so fantastic. My favourite yet. (I've been lurking a while here.) So great.
