Underneath The Fig Tree

Underneath the Fig Tree
Pure Watercolour
30 cm x 30 cm or 12 inches x 12 inches
Underneath the fig tree twists a tunnel of secrets, past the locked shed, past an empty cage and there is something hiding behind the greenhouse door...

Loving this, Sarah. It has so much character and leads your eye nicely into all the little nooks and crannies. It's like a little curiosty shop.

I've enjoyed looking at these last two paintings. I like the colours you've used in the shadow areas - which capture the feeling of coolness. And you use beautiful greens.

Hi Sara, I like the sunlit roof standing our against the dark, nearly put my neck out trying to read the sign on the wood. Do you work from life on these woodland scenes?

Hi there - I just found you through Cathy Holtom's blog. You have a wonderful fresh style and your subject matter really appeals to me. Beautiful work!

I love how your paintings often have paths that invite me to explore. Every time I see one I want to see where it goes.
