Helford

Helford
Watercolour
20 cm x 9 cm or 8 inches x 3.5 inches

A day on the river and some tiny watercolours.  I will post all of them along with sketches up on watermarks.
I am planning to varnish these and then frame them without the traditional glass that usually is necessary to protect watercolours.  So you see them here first before the experiment.  I will post the results, which will be for sale.  So there you go, I am boldly going where I have not been before, watch this space!

Nice! I believe Samuel Palmer sometimes varnished his watercolours. I'd have to check that, I think he used some kind of shellac.

Love your small water paintings.
Beautiful reflections of light.
Calm and serene.
