A day on the river and some tiny watercolours. I will post all of them along with sketches up on watermarks.
I am planning to varnish these and then frame them without the traditional glass that usually is necessary to protect watercolours. So you see them here first before the experiment. I will post the results, which will be for sale. So there you go, I am boldly going where I have not been before, watch this space!

Nice! I believe Samuel Palmer sometimes varnished his watercolours. I'd have to check that, I think he used some kind of shellac.
