Blue
Oil on Board
16 cm x 30 cm or 6 inches x 12 inches.
Another unseasonal scene. Sorry! It has to be done I am afraid. Last winter we had the very rare occurrence of snow in Cornwall, normally it is mist and rain all winter. The exception has to be celebrated and has provided a wealth of images to create for the winter show.

The Last Light
The Last Light SOLD
Oil on Board
15 cm x 26 cm or 6 inches x 10 inches
Winter! In the middle of summer! Whatever next! I am doing a few little oil paintings for a winter show. So I got out my sketch books, stuck my head in the freezer for a while and got into winter mode. Actually it was lovely and relaxing to do some oil painting after weeks of watercolours and flowers. The colours as well, all those blues. Quite the best antidote for hot muggy weather, or personal power surges. Better than HRT any day!

Frida's Chocolate Chili Mousse
Frida's Chocolate Chili Mousse
Mixed Media.
65 cm x 45 cm or 25.5 inches x 18 inches
This is a repainting of an older painting, it is almost the same, but a little bit different. I must say that sitting in a photo booth with Frida Kahlo was fun! She said "The only thing I know is that I paint because I need to, and I paint whatever passes through my head without any other consideration." And I totally agreed with her, then we went off for a hot chocolate.

Trifle
Trifle
Watercolour 65cm x 45cm or 25.5 inches x 18 inches
A change is as good as a rest, I am having a summer holiday in a painterly kind of way, doing some of my "recipe" still lives. This is the very English pudding called Trifle, with duck egg custard, raspberries, cherries, jelly and sponge and of course sherry! Thinking about it I might have to add a few hundreds and thousands.
Enjoy!
