The Sea House

Watercolour
34 cm x 52 cm or 13.5 inches x 20.5 inches
A beautifully battered, weather worn old gate, old concrete made with beach pebbles as the old stuff often seems to be, and a joyful choice of colour on the door.  This little place is often boarded up as it sits on top of the cliff facing the sea right down at Lizard Point.  As soon as I saw it I wanted to try and "get" all the textures and surfaces.

Oh yeah -this is great. I love all the different textures & patterns that you're using. It makes the painting look almost like a mood board. Beaut!
