Nightfall and Fog Horns

Oil on paper 20 x 15 cm.
The clocks went forward today so at 8pm night was just falling, mist deep on the river and the sound of a mournful fog horn.  Beautiful still end to a lovely day.  Boats are being put in the water, it is the start of the season.

One of your best, quite Turneresque. If I had money to spare I'd buy one of your paintings. You should have success with this series one day.

I really like this one - and am commenting to say - but I see Vivien got there first! ;)

Definitely very atmospheric and redolent of the sort of effects Turner achieved
