White Sky

Gouache on Paper
20 x 12.5 cm or 8 x 5 inches
Tucked away by some rocks on a little beach.  There is a flat white look to the sky, very subtle layers of cloud.  My shoulder hurts, it might be the cold rock.  I put some torn paper into this before I started, it made some interesting edges in the trees.  I love gouache, it seems like the best of both worlds, watercolour and oils.

Wonderful to see you in gouache, Sarah. It suits you beautifully. I'm going to be hanging over your shoulder :)
