Austin Restoration

Oil on board 31 cm x 26 cm. SOLD
There is a little cottage, buried deep in the Cornish countryside, down a rutted track, tucked into the woods above the Helford river.  This secret forgotten place has a beautifully muddled garden with old sheds and a homemade greenhouse.  Inside the greenhouse sits an old Austin A40 being slowly restored.  Everywhere there is an air of timelessness and a deep sense of peace.  It is the home of a friend of mine so I am able to go and look and paint in glorious quietude.

This piece looks peaceful as is. You painted it really well! It sort of makes me want to go and visit the place myself. Great job! Keep on posting!
