A Quiet Afternoon

Charcoal and chalk on brown paper
SOLD
Another charcoal drawing, these are reasonably large and in real life they have quite subtle tonal differences within the dark areas.

Beautiful drawing. The brown paper gives a softer look to the piece. I like peeping in through other people's rooms like this.

Sarah, I'd just finished teaching a lesson in conté on grey paper and posted a far more frivolous fare in same when I spotted this knock down, drag out, gorgeous piece. What a treat to see your gleaming light through shadowy rooms. I LOVE using white on dark papers. Glad to read that there are more of these. Congrats on your news of shows and so forth. Well deserved.
